Vito Acconi, born 1940 in Brooklyn, NY, is a very interesting artist. He uses a very situational style to interact with his viewers, thereby giving art a totally new two dimensional feel. This is him in what seems to be a transformation type piece (right).
His piece (left) is named 'City of Words', a lithograph in which he vibrantly displays buildings and movement with the foreground of a newspaper type style. Perhaps there is an irony in his title, referring to his feelings on the nature of civilized society.
