This image is very beautiful and similar to the thrice-twisted Mobius strip. And that actually reminds me of another very cool Escher image.

I overheard you talking about math, so I can't help but give some mathematical commentary here. What I love about the picture I linked is that it illustrates how the cylinder twice-covers the Mobius strip (in the sense of covering spaces). It might be a little hard to recognize, because the cylinder here is twisted into a trefoil knot, but that doesn't change anything.
