Thomas

This piece, by Sandro Chai called Courageous boys at work, shows two muscular figures drawing on a black board. Though there seems to be no rhyme or reason to their work, I believe that Chai is showing the raw inspiration created when art comes from within. Their hands and writing utensils glow as if pure energy was being released through their acts of self expression. The piece seems to take over, not only most if the canvas, but also the boys who have parts of their work tattooed on their arms and legs. Though they look like men, they are "boys" who are not afraid to explore themselves artistically and in this way are more courageous than their superiors.
