1 - Kristen Sebasky: Starry Night

I believe that "art" is an expression of an idea or emotion, but can be anything someone perceives as "art." It does not have to be created with intention. Usually, "art" provokes thoughts and/or emotions in its viewers. I've posted my favorite piece of art, "Starry Night." It certainly provokes thought and emotion in me, and I believe it does in others as well.

I agree that art has to create a reaction from the audience. I think that there has to be some underlying intention from the artist, that his or her work is intended to be viewed as art.
